Capture, Compete and Communitcate

On September 11th, 2015 local business from all over Sarasota County came together at the Hyatt Regency for the Economic Development Corporation Annual Luncheon.  The economic outlook in Sarasota County is bright, and the EDC has been a major player in making that the case!  The EDC works to improve the many local businesses we already have and in assisting companies looking to expand and relocate to Sarasota County.

In addition to taking care of some Corporation business, the annual Clyde Nixon Business Leadership Award and the first ever Ringling College Innovation by Creative Design Award were given to two very deserving recipients.

As our readers already know, Mary Kenealy Events is very attentive to details, and our attentiveness was on full display at the luncheon.  Upon arrival, each guest received their name tag which included an insert card with the guest’s table number and the EDC Logo.

Bright colored napkins adorned each table, each one carefully chosen to match the bright teals and lime greens that create the EDC Logo.  Mini lemon bars and fruit tarts were stacked on delicate glass tea stands, which served as centerpieces and were topped with creamy white chocolate bars stamped with the logo of the Corporation.

The Sarasota Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Brotherhood graciously presented the colors to open the program, which was followed by a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem performed by a member of the Alpha Company’s talented team.

Nearly 400 businessmen and women from various local organizations dined on a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Kory Foltz from the Hyatt Regency of grilled lemon chicken breast with toasted orzo risotto, accented with colorful sweet peppers.

Mary Kenealy Events is thrilled to have worked with the EDC on their annual luncheon and is looking forward to the continued partnership we have planned over the next year!
